Builders,
Not Brokers
ESG was founded in 2009 by two site engineers who were tired of watching good drawings get simplified on the way to site. Seventeen years later the company is larger, but the argument has not changed.
The detail that makes a building good is almost always the one that is hard to build.
A flush threshold. A shadow gap that holds a line across twelve metres. A corner with no column in it. These are the things a client remembers, and they are the first things to disappear when a contractor prices risk by removing it.
We price the difficult detail properly, build a mock-up, and then hold the programme around it. It is slower at tender and faster on site, and it is the reason most of our work arrives through architects rather than agents.
Track — seventeen years
Founded
Two engineers, one pickup, and a villa refurbishment in Jumeirah that ran three weeks late and taught us everything about sequencing.
First design & build
Took single-point responsibility for a 900 m² residence and never went back to pure lump-sum contracting as the default.
Joinery in-house
Opened the Al Quoz workshop after one too many subcontracted stair balustrades arrived 8 mm out.
Systems division
Added MEP and controls so lighting, shading and climate could be commissioned as one system instead of three.
Development arm
Began acquiring and developing our own plots — the fastest way to learn what a building actually costs to own.
Jebel Vista
1,210 m² over three levels on a 14° slope, delivered in 22 months with a nil-defect handover.

Leadership
Who you will actually deal with.
Managing Director
Structural engineer, founder. Prices every tender personally and sits in every handover.
Construction Director
Founder. Runs site. Twenty-two years of concrete, and strong opinions about pour sequencing.
Head of Design & Technical
Coordinates the model, resolves the junctions, and argues with everyone before anything is cast.
Head of Systems & Commissioning
MEP and controls. Owns the scene list and the addressing schedule you take away at handover.
Roles shown without names — this is a demonstration build and no real individuals are represented.
